Keyboard Shortcuts for the Mac and OS X
Thought I’d list a bunch of commonly used keyboard shortcuts for the intel macs and os x that I’ve found or read about.Intel Macs use EFI instead of Open Firmware, here are some keyboard commands. You’ll want to hold down the key until you see the spinny circle on the screen.
Boot up parameters

| <Option><Cmd><Shift><Delete> | Bypass start volume during boot. | |
| <c> | Boot off CD/DVD | |
| <t> | Start in Target disk Mode | |
| <shift> | Start up in Safe Mode | |
| <option>-<n> | Netboot | |
| <cmd>-<v> | Verbose boot. Shows you everything happening as it starts up. | |
| <cmd>-<s> | Single User Mode | Boots OS X into Single User Mode. |

Desktop Management
| <F8> | Spaces view |
| <F9> | Expose all apps |
| <F10> | Expose selected app windows |
| <F11> | Desktop view |
| <F12> | Dashboard |
| <Ctrl>-<Number> | go to that spaces desktop |

| <cmd><shift><4> | Screen capture selected area |
| <cmd><option><=> | Zoom screen in (requires universal access) |
