So it’s been an interesting couple of weeks for me. Lots on my mind, things happening at an accelerated pace. Between the over long hours at work and some other stuff, well it’s been nuts. This weekend it hit me, stuff about some tests mostly. For the handful of you that read this you probably already know what I am talking about. If you don’t ask me. But, I decided something regarding that. Freaking on it will do nothing. I have no control over the outcome anyway. And while I’ve not told family about it, I think that is the best for now.
If it’s bad, well I’ll deal. If it’s indeterminate I’ll keep searching for the answer. If it’s good then yay for me. I expect #2, though in a way #1 would be good as it would provide closure. Either way, so it goes to quote a famous author. I’ve been preparing myself for it all, and Friday I’ll know something at least. Then I get to tell family about it. How do you prepare to tell someone something that you have no idea about?
As for work, well Friday I worked from 6:30am to 9pm at night. Saturday 7:00am to 1:00pm. Short day last week as about 11 hours. I’ve not had to deal with that for some time. It’s annoying me, and I can do something about it so I will. I’ve not defined my life by what my career is in a long time, I don’t intend on getting back there.
On a brighter note, got Leopard and installed it. I like it so far; it’s different in some ways. Nothing horrible yet. I also am going to see an opera in November. This will be a first for me, a live opera. I am looking forward to it. I feel so cultured, and I did not even eat yogurt today. Go me. Still taking some pictures too, I am trying to take more. It turns out that a bigwig at work put himself through college via photography and saw my stuff. He gave me some pointers. Was cool.
